Steven Wold, more commonly known as Seasick Steve, is an American Blues Musician.

Seasick Steve plays guitar, and foot percussion.

As Seasick Steve explains in the song, “Doghouse Blues” his parents split up when he was only four years of age.

He left home at 14 then proceeded to live the life of a Hobo in the United States of America .

He allegedly travelled long distances illegally by hopping freights.

Seasick Steve is currently (when not on the road!!) residing in Oslo , Norway .

The “MDM”, The Mississippi Drum Machine.
A small wooden box that is kicked/stamped on to provide percussion. It is decorated with a Mississippi licence plate, and a small piece of carpet.

The Three Stringed Trance Wonder.
Just an everyday, run of the mill gee-tar but with only the A, G and B string actually stringed up!! Seasick Steve also occasionally has a third pickup added (the ever industrious Seasick Steve uses duck tape for this!!) and he often plays with all three pickups open at once.
