Jamelia - Javine Is A Slag, Alesha Dixon (Mis-Teeq), Javine & MC Harvey (So Solid Crew)

Now for those of you who are unfamiliar with the Javine (slag), MC Harvey, Alesha Dixon and Jamelia story, here is an update!!

JAMELIA

With a Jamaican mother and Zimbabwean father Jamelia was born in Birmingham . Parlophone signed her at the tender age of 15. 1999 saw the release of her first single, “So High”. With her second single, “I Do” giving her first taste of life inside the UK to 40 singles chart.

Her debut album was released in 2000, “Drama” just managed to dent the UK album charts (#39). But with the help of Beenie Man, the single, “Money” made it into the top 5 of the UK singles Chart. Also on the back of this Jamelia was nominated for Five MOBO Awards!! Managing to win one.

The next two releases were disappointing In 2000, at age 18, she released her first album Drama, which peaked inside the UK top 40 albums chart at #39. The most successful single from the album was Money, featuring a guest vocal from Beenie Man which went top 5. She was nominated for five MOBO Awards in 2000, winning one. The album also spawned the successful follow-up single, Call Me and the final single, Boy Next Door, which peaked just outside the UK top 40.

Jamelia's third album Walk with Me was released on 25 September 2006.

The second single to be taken from the album is, “Beware of the Dog,” which features a sample from Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode (covered in 2002 by Marilyn Manson). The single will be released on December 4th 2006. However it is more than reminiscent of Rihanna's recent release, “S.O.S.”.

MIS-TEEQ (ALESHA DIXON)

Mis-Teeq were an English R&B / Garage group. Originally a quartet, the group eventually became a trio, whose members were Alesha Dixon, Su-Elise Nash and Sabrina Washington. They released two studio albums and nine singles together. In January 2005 they announced their official split, instead pursuing solo careers in music.

MC HARVEY

MC Harvey himself came to prominence in 2001 with UK garage act So Solid Crew.

So Solid Crew are a UK garage and grime act whose hits include,"21 Seconds", which reached number one in the official UK Singles Chart in August 2001. Members of the band have since been jailed!!

After leaving the band, he has developed a TV career on reality TV shows The Games on Channel Four in 2003 (which he won) and several series of The Match on Sky One.

While we are on the subject of “The Match”, in the third season Harvey was sent off. That is the clip I have decided to show you, firstly to reinforce the already firm belief that Harvey is a bit of an arsehole and also because I couldn't bring myself to post a clip of So Solid Crew in action. (And I have previously posted a Cheeky Girls clip!!)

DADDY COOL!!

In 2006 he made his theatre debut in London's West End in the musical Daddy Cool.

Daddy Cool tells the story of ‘Sunny', a young man who lives for his music. Caught up in local rivalry between East and West London crews.

JAVINE HYLTON (SLAG)

Javine first came to public attention when she was one of the last six contenders for a place in the girl-band, (Girls Aloud) on the popular TV show, “Popstars – The Rivals”. But she failed at the last step of the competition and decided to launch a solo career.

On March 5, 2005, she won Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up, the British heat of the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, with the ethnic romp "Touch My Fire", a track co-written by Hylton. The other contestants were the 1996 UK entrant Gina G, as well as Andy Scott-Lee, the group Tricolore, and Katie "Jordan" Price/Andre.

Her appearance on the programme was noteworthy for two other reasons. During the performance her, “Tit tape” (used to hold her dress in place) came loose causing a Janet Jackson style wardrobe malfunction.

Javine represented the United Kingdom in the final, finishing in 22nd place (with 18 points) in front of only France and Germany, (France & Germany eh, that's fucking good enough for me!!)

Javine has since appeared on the new series of the Channel 4 programme The Games (along side MC Harvey!!) which she also went on to win.

In 2006 she won the "Rear of the Year Award”. Also in 2006 (March) Javine pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol and was banned from driving for 18 months.

THE DIRTY DEED

In November 2006, UK newspaper The Sun reported that Javine was having an affair with her Daddy Cool co-star and fellow The Games contestant MC Harvey, the husband of her friend Alesha Dixon.

They were caught in bed together by Hylton's boyfriend, Karl 'K-Gee' Gordon.

Who then promptly phoned Alesha Dixon with the news. Dixon has since moved out of the house she shared with Harvey . And Javine is now reported to have moved in with Harvey .

JAMELIA – “JAVINE IS A SLAG”

Having recently been cheated on herself, Jamelia has lashed out at Javine Hylton for sleeping with her married, Daddy Cool co-star MC Harvey. Jamelia told the Sun: “I'm not normally the type of person to slate someone but I've really got a lot of animosity towards that girl because she's a relationship ruiner.”

“Alesha Dixon” is a beautiful, fantastic person and her husband has been sleeping with Javine behind her back. Javine is a slag. I have no time for her.”

ALESHA DIXON – JAVINE IS A SKODA

"I'm not going to waste any more time on Harvey and that Skoda he went with. Javine Hylton. "I was so angry at first but I'm over that now because what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It was hard that everyone knows my business, but it happens to loads of women and so many people can relate to this situation. I still talk to Harvey and we are civil, but I haven't seen Javine yet - and I hate to think what might happen if I do."

Alesha thought her relationship with Harvey was strong. She thought she'd be with him forever. She has known Javine for a long time and even raved about her performance in Daddy Cool, now that's got to sting like a bitch.

NEVER MIND THE BUZZCOCKS

However it would appear that Jamelia has the courage of her convictions as when she recently appeared on the BBC2 show, “Never Mind The Buzzcocks” and insisted that, "Javine really is a slag." The host Simon was quick to add that, "He had always liked Jamelia and Alesha” adding that, “Javine was one of the most boring people I've ever interviewed and I've interviewed Ronan Keating."!!

JAVINE REPLIES

Meanwhile on her MySpace page, Javine has hit back at claims that she's a “Two-faced home-wrecker” by claiming “I'm not a home wrecker - the home was already wrecked.”
