Mp3 Music Video Blog: Radio1 Live Lounge, Arctic Monkeys And Girls Aloud

Now, nearly everyone is aware of Jo –The Mad Moose*- Whiley's Live Lounge, I have posted a few of her gems in previous blog entries.

And indeed, after something like 4 years of negotiating and planning (I shit you not, it is at least four years since she's been, ‘working on it'!!) A Radio1 Live Lounge album has finally been released. Anyway, for the uninitiated Jo Whiley hosts the morning (10 – 12.45) slot on the BBC Radio1 station, the bands always play their current hit (with Girls Aloud being the exception -as it is a Best Of that they have released, and also I suspect with the Arctic Monkeys Live Lounge version being such a hit- decided to do the pop classic, “Love Machine.”

It's always nice to hear current artist performing with their sound being stripped right back, the real fun lies in the second track (of two) that the band performs, as it is always a cover of a current chart track, which provides for very interesting results.

Whether it be a stroke of genius (Arctic Monkeys – Love Machine) or the worst song choice possible (Girls Aloud – Love Machine) it's always good for a listen/laugh.

So let's do just that, and we may as well start with the two bands that I've already mentioned, i.e. The Arctic Monkeys & Girls Aloud.

I have only included the actual, “Love Machine” song from The Arctic Monkeys (due to lack of available good quality footage) and with Girls Aloud I have, “Love Machine” & “Rehab” (Amy Winehouse cover).
