Now Mcfly are not one of my most favourite groups, in fact they are the "pop" group that everyone loves to hate. There's no denying that there's some talent present in the group, this is reinforced by the fact that they are currently number 1 in the UK music charts, even if it is for charity and even if it is a cover of the untouchable, “Queen,” classic, “Don't stop me now.”

Still teenage girls seem to love them, and after hearing them perform an acoustic version on Radio 1 I must admit that they have risen (not by much mind) in my estimations. I suppose if we have to have boy bands, then they may as well play their own instruments and they may as well be half-way competent musicians!!

• And they even beat the record previously owned by The Beatles,
  for being the youngest band to have a debut album enter the charts at number 1!!


• They have outlasted their closest rivals, “Busted,” with whom they shared the same record label.


• Like it or not Mcfly are here to stay.
